Police are investigating a late shooting that left a 16-year-old boy dead. It happened around 11:30 Saturday night in the 500 block of South Lulu, near Kellogg and Hydraulic.
Officers were called to a report of a shooting and they found the victim in front of an apartment building. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police learned that the teen was shot after he approached the gunman’s vehicle. After the shooting, the vehicle sped away to the south. There’s no word on a motive or any suspects.
