Hutchinson police arrested a 51-year-old man after a report of a young girl being taken from Hutchinson to Newton against her will.
Police said the report was made on April 26th and detectives contacted Newton police. The investigation found that an incident involving the girl took place at a home in Hutchinson, and a search warrant was executed the next day. Detectives arrested the suspect on Thursday and charged him with kidnapping, rape and aggravated indecent liberties with a child.
The case is still under investigation and charges will be determined by the Reno County District Attorney’s Office.
