Crews from Newton and Walton battled a fire that destroyed a semi tractor trailer late Saturday night.
The semi was carrying a load of cheese products when it crashed on Highway 50 near Walton.
Four people were checked at the scene but they refused medical treatment. Equipment from the Kansas Department of Transportation was called to the scene to help with cleanup activities.
