A 38 year old man from Pittsburg, Kansas was sentenced to 300 months in prison for distribution of child pornography.
Jason Wayne Irving pleaded guilty to one count of Distribution of Child Pornography in February.
According to court documents, Irving admitted to using his email address to upload and send pornographic images of children in 2019. Google detected his activity and notified the Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s Cyber Tip Line.
Soon after, Google reported the email account again for similar conduct and were able to link the account to Irving. After a search warrant of Irving’s smart phone was obtained, law enforcement discovered that the reported Google email account was linked to it, in addition to other account that were reported by Facebook.
The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office, Wichita Police Department, Homeland Security Investigation, and Kansas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigated the case.
