Becky Tuttle, who was appointed to serve the remainder of Pete Meitzner’s term on the Wichita City Council, has announced she will seek a full term.

Meitzner was elected to the Sedgwick County Commission in November and the Wichita City Council unanimously voted for Tuttle to fill out the remainder of his term in District 2.  Tuttle resigned her position as the director of community development at the Greater Wichita YMCA In January to serve on the council.

Prior to the YMCA, Tuttle served as project manager for Health ICT, an affiliate of the Medical Society of Sedgwick County.  She also has served four four years on the District 2 Advisory Board, including a year as the chair.

She also served on the boards of Wichita Park Foundation and Wichita Area Sister Cities.  The primary is August 6, with the general election to be held on November 5.
