Banners have been placed along Douglas Avenue in downtown Wichita with artwork created by fourth grade students.

Downtown Wichita worked with the school district on a contest for fourth grade students to design the banners with a theme of “Hometown Holidays.”   Downtown Wichita’s Emily Brookover said more than 100 entries were received, and 23 were chosen.
