Wichita State University is now one of only a slight handful universities in the country offering a linguistics class that teaches the Native American Cherokee language.
The addition of the Cherokee course is part of the university’s new applied linguistics curriculum.
The class is currently only taught online, but will move to in-person in the spring semester. You can learn more the new course on here.
