The KBI, the Neodesha Police Department, and the Wilson County Sheriff’s Officer arrested two men after they discovered 82 pounds of methamphetamine in their vehicle.
Around 11:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 29th, an officer with the Neodesha Police Dept. initiated a traffic stop for a speeding at 400 Main St. Probable cause led to a search of the vehicle, and the search uncovered the methamphetamine, the street value for which was estimated to be around $3.7 million.
The driver of the vehicle, 19 year old Alejandro Salazar of Dallas, Texas, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, possession of drug sale paraphernalia, and driving without a valid license. The passenger, 19 year old Roger Mercado from Garland, Texas, was also arrested for possession with intent, and possession of drug sale paraphernalia.
The two men were booked into the Wilson County Jail.
