The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office has identified an 18-year-old woman who died in a crash early Saturday morning east of Derby.
Kylie Love of Rose Hill was driving west on 71st Street South near 143rd Street east in a 1999 green Toyota Camry shortly after 2:30 a.m. when she left the road, struck a culvert in a private drive and struck a tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her 17-year-old passenger was transported to Wesley Medical Center for treatment of potentially serious injuries. Deputies say they are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
