A support employee for the Wichita Police Department has been arrested on drug charges.
The 38-year-old man worked in the Support Services Division for the past four years. His specific role from the department was not released, but he was not a police officer.
Police learned about the man’s possible involvement with drugs and was contacted by officers shortly after 5:30 p.m. Saturday. He was arrested for possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police say he resigned from the department that day. The case will be presented to the District Attorney’s Office for formal charges.
