Around two dozen people turned out at Wichita’s city hall building Friday to protest Governor Kelly’s plan to reopen the state economy.
The governor’s plan calls for some businesses such as bars, nightclubs, barber shops, nail salons, theaters and museums to remain closed for another two weeks. They could reopen in phase two of the plan, which would go into effect no sooner than May 18th. Most state restrictions would be lifted around June 18th.
People carried signs and American flags outside city hall to call for a reopening of all businesses in the state.
