Crime Stoppers tips in Sedgwick County led to 13 felony arrests in May.
Arrests were for things like drugs, felony warrants, and an attempted robbery. More than $2,000 was approved to be paid out for the tips that led to arrests. In total, 230 tips came in and some are still being investigated.
“We have seen an increase in tips over the last few months, which shows that the program is working,” said Crime Stoppers Chairperson Stacey Kluge. “Crime Stoppers is one way that citizens can assist law enforcement by providing information anonymously, and they receive a cash reward for their information if it leads to an arrest.”
